Alexander Suvorov
Alexander Suvorov was born on January 29, 1947, in Moscow. He began his artistic education at the Moscow Secondary Art School (MSKhSh) affiliated with the Surikov Moscow State Academy Art Institute, graduating in 1966.
In 1975, he graduated from the Faculty of Graphics at the Surikov Moscow State Academy Art Institute, specializing in easel graphics under the supervision of N. P. Ponomarev. Since 1995, he has been running the etching workshop at the Surikov Moscow State Academy Art Institute, where he serves as a Professor and, since 2013, as the Head of the Department of Graphics.
He has been a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1977 and a member of the Moscow Union of Artists since 1997. In 2007, he was elected a Corresponding Member, and in 2012, a Full Member (Academician) of the Russian Academy of Arts within the Department of Graphics.
In 2016, he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
He lives and works in Moscow.
