Afisha Daily, one of the leading city portals about culture and entertainment, has published a series of reviews on the exhibition "Along the Way - Paintings by Nadezhda Krestinina."

We offer to your attention a selection of impressions and reviews from visitors and journalists published on the project's page on Afisha:

An electric train. Neighbors. Light. Color. Life. Architecture. Painstaking work. And voila — you are in a dream!
Everything merged and realized itself in the interesting space of the Ruin Wing. I will buy one of the paintings of the contemporary master — Nadezhda Krestinina. I have inquired about the price. So far, they are not expensive at all.”

“One of the best art exhibitions in Moscow recently. Literally everything was pleasing. Firstly, the remarkable painting of Nadezhda Krestinina, an artist who possesses a unique artistic vision and the ability to convincingly convey the nuances of the human condition and perception of the world around us using color and light shades. Secondly, the amazing work of the exhibition curators Ksenia Lagoyskaya and Olga Marutyan, who thoroughly thought out the concept of the exhibition and competently built its composition, thereby ensuring an excellent presentation of the artist's works. And thirdly, I would like to note the contribution to the preparation of the exposition of the Director of the Museum of Architecture Natalia Shashkova, who not only provided a stunning exhibition space, but also enriched the exhibition with additional meanings, placing strict drawings of railway facilities in the hall, which created a wonderful contrast with the illusory works of Krestinina.”

“As a person far from art, I was pleasantly surprised that I liked the exhibition. I discovered for myself that the paintings unfold differently from up close and from a distance. The venue of this exhibition caused particular delight.”

“Worth seeing.
A new exhibition of paintings by the artist Nadezhda Krestinina has opened in the ‘Ruina’ space of the Museum of Architecture. The artist is prominent, her works are in the Hermitage, the Russian Museum, and other museums of our country. For many years she has been creating the ‘Public Transport’ cycle, in which she reflected in her own manner the impressions of the people she met in transport. The exhibition also includes works from the ‘Somnambulists’ cycle. The artist has her own unique style, which, by the way, is much more interesting to view live. I would say that the impressions are not really conveyed by photos.

The museum has allocated a very interesting two-story space for the exhibition. The works are illuminated very well. On the 1st floor, there are benches similar to those in electric trains—a pleasant detail. On the 2nd floor, there is a beautiful inscription with the name of the exhibition. There is a video recording of an interview with the artist about how she painted these works. It is also quite curious to see the sketches of railway stations from the collection of the Museum of Architecture. But most of all I liked the unique style of the author! I consider this exhibition very interesting to view!”

“I visited the exhibition. Very impressive! Bravo! A combination of excellent exhibition organization and the author's works!!! You are in the hall, but you find yourself on the way to some city, pressing your face against the carriage glass and riding, riding... The author of the works in an amazing way carries you away into another world. And it was great. Of course, you can experience the exhibition so deeply only thanks to its excellent organization—high-quality lighting, background color, walls, the arrangement of paintings, the film. Great. Bravo once again!”

“We are all travelers in this world.
I haven’t visited such a finely tuned art exhibition for a long time, where all nuances are considered. The work of the curators Ksenia Lagoyskaya and Olga Marutyan is at the highest level. I liked the professionally built exposition, the magnificent lighting of the works, and the architecture of the project. Even the seats in the halls are made like commuter train benches. The paintings of Nadezhda Krestinina, exhibited on two floors, perfectly harmonize with the internal space of the ‘Ruina’ wing. Modern life forces us to constantly move somewhere, and this seems like something ordinary. The ‘On the Way’ exhibition invites us to go beyond the ordinary and look at the path differently, deeper. The artist’s painting is not a copying of reality, but a mirror in which the viewer can see their inner world. The artist, fixing real moments and people met by her on the way, turns everyday life into an emotionally rich space. The ordinariness captured in the paintings becomes a magical world, leisurely and thoughtful.”
