Konstantin Batynkov

Born in 1959 in Sevastopol. He graduated from Art School No. 50 and studied in private studios in Moscow, as well as under the Saint-Henri residency grant in France. He later enrolled in the Moscow Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers. Over the years, he held a diverse range of positions, working as an aviation instructor-engineer, a liquor store porter, an excavator at the Panticapaeum archaeological site, a wind machine operator at Mosfilm Studios, and a staff member at the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts.

Batynkov began participating in exhibitions in 1978. Despite his lack of formal academic art degree, he was admitted to the Union of Artists in 1983 as an "exceptionally gifted" member. Starting in 1985, he became a prominent figure in the "Mitki" art subculture.

He is a member of the International Federation of Artists (IFA).
